In Senningerberg, this bi-family project by Saharchitects offers an elegant response to the challenge of shared living without compromise. Two fully independent homes are seamlessly interlocked, like pieces of a finely crafted puzzle, within a single, cohesive volume defined by clarity and contemporary lines.
Each unit benefits from its own private entrance, garage, and a fully fitted basement. The floor plans have been carefully designed to ensure privacy for each household while embracing generous, open living spaces. Both homes feature four bedrooms and a spacious, light-filled living area that unites the kitchen, dining, and lounge in one continuous flow. Expansive windows invite natural light in and create a strong connection to the outdoors.
The upper unit, intended for rental, is distinguished by a large suspended terrace. This elevated platform not only offers a private outdoor space but also acts as a buffer between the two homes, enhancing intimacy for both. On the garden level, the main residence opens onto a landscaped terrace with a pergola and a swimming pool, designed to suit the rhythms of active family life.
The overall volumetry plays with setbacks and alignments to create a subtle yet effective interlocking of the two units, distinct yet complementary. This formal dialogue balances density with comfort, avoiding any sense of crowding or intrusion.
Material choices reinforce the project’s timeless character and ease of use. The rendered façade reflects a clean, durable aesthetic. Inside, a combination of wooden flooring, tiles, and plaster finishes contributes to a warm and welcoming atmosphere, both elegant and lowmaintenance.
This project exemplifies an architecture of precision and intention, where every design choice is guided by the way people live, today and into the future.
