Our latest project in Schuttrange has just been featured in the April–May 2025 edition of Wunnen magazine, under the “New deliveries” section

This project exemplifies the essence of Saharchitects’ approach: blending refined, contemporary design with functionality and a deep respect for the rural character of the site. Nestled on the edge of a quiet residential area, the house is both discreet and expressive, rooted in tradition yet resolutely modern.

Designed to accommodate two families with privacy and harmony, the residence offers spacious, light-filled interiors, optimised orientation for natural comfort, and a warm material palette inspired by the local vernacular. The timber cladding, large windows, and clean volumes come together to create a home that feels both grounded and open.

Sahar Azari’s favorite : the art of sofa

We are proud to see our Limpertsberg project featured in Paperjam Extra Living & Workspace, reflecting our dedication to timeless and sustainable architecture. 

This exciting project, designed for a private investor, brings to life a timeless vision for modern living. The five-apartment building is crafted with a focus on functionality, durability, and understated elegance. Its façade and roof, made of natural zinc, offer a sustainable material choice that will age gracefully over time. Each apartment includes an outdoor space, with the ground-floor unit enjoying direct access to the garden and the first-floor unit boasting a private rooftop terrace.

Inside, expansive glass openings flood the apartments with natural light, while raw concrete ceilings and custom wooden furniture create a unique balance between industrial character and warmth. Every detail has been thoughtfully designed to offer an inviting and contemporary living experience.

We are thrilled to announce that our Belair renovation project has been featured in the November-December 2024 edition of Wunnen magazine! This transformation of a 1930s single-family home showcases the fusion of historic charm and contemporary functionality.

The project involved extending the roof at the back to create a new playroom for the children in the attic, where parquet flooring adds warmth and comfort. The ground floor has been reimagined as a fully open space connecting the living room, kitchen, and a raised terrace, which flows seamlessly into the garden. This elevated terrace creates a smooth indoor-outdoor transition and an unobstructed view of a thoughtfully designed garden, which balances privacy with natural light and includes practical storage areas.

Discover how we’ve preserved features like original ceiling mouldings and wooden floors, while adding custom wooden furniture for a refined, modern touch. AFTER is a contemporary residential complex tailored for a young, vibrant demographic. Its most unique aspect is the renowned Luxembourgish artist, Lisa Junius, will transform the building into a canvas for public art. Her distinctive style is evident in the mural of a whimsical woman blowing flowers, a motif that harmonizes with the architecture by incorporating the windows into the design.

After we won the OAI and Ministry of Tourism competition to design a glamping cabin for Luxembourg, we were then tasked with transforming our concepts into reality. The circular construction techniques, low carbon, and off-grid systems needed to work, and for that we needed a good team. Sahar worked hard to find the best, and we have been so happy with the innovative thinking that has resulted in a cabin that will have a minimum impact on the environment. They are DESA structural engineers, Lee Franck of LEEN, and BuildTec engineers.

In their series of articles about female founders in Luxembourg, Paperjam interviewed Sahar about what it has been like to found and manage an architecture firm for the past 12 years. Her short answer, ““Above all, I’ve learned that it’s essential to be passionate about what you do. There are moments of success, but also a lot of challenges. It’s a bit like being on a rollercoaster all the time.”

She also speaks about the importance of her family and her plans for the future of Saharchitects, “I want to focus on improving the quality of our projects and services. In addition, I intend to invest more in my current team, prepare them to mentor new talent and thus expand our office.”
