About Saharchitects
Revue Magazin featured Saharchitects on the cover of Bauen & Wunnen! The title of the nine page article was “Less is More”, a quote from the renown architect, Mies van der Rohe.
The author, Francoise Stoll, wrote, “The 40 year old architect, Sahar Azari, is exceptionally well versed in architecture. The Iranian has been active in this field for 13 years: In this interview she tells us about her vision, current projects and direction in Luxembourg.”
“Generally speaking, we work with a lot of natural materials.” – Sahar Azari
The interview goes on to ask Sahar about her decision to study architecture, what she loves about this job and about her design philosophy. When asked what good architecture is to her, Sahar answered, “It should not be (visually) overloaded. It is important to concentrate on the essential. Often, one creates many different designs of the same building. It becomes more and more elaborate and rich with details. In the process, one decides almost always in the end to go back to an earlier, more simple version. It takes a long time to arrive at a harmonious, simple solution. It requires more courage to separate oneself from certain elements, to reduce, then it does to add.”
