About Saharchitects
The Covid19 virus has taken a tragic toll on many, and unfortunately, it is not yet over. Because of this, I want to reassure you that I will work hard to meet the challenges and overcome any fears in order to make the best choices I can as a citizen, as a mother and as a business leader.
At Saharchitects, we are on the job full time. We are working remotely from home, and like most, we have had some large adjustments to make. None of us had a home office ready to go, and we’ve needed to be creative to work around things like unsuitable chairs and small work areas. Not to mention having to adjust my typical work schedule to accommodate home schooling, play time and craft projects for my children.
We also had to change how we work with each other. When it became clear that we may have to work remotely, we worked overtime to be prepared for telecommuting. We are in constant communication with each other through various online programs, and thus far it has worked very well. We can meet online, share our screens, and toss ideas and images around with each other.
In fact, the success of telecommuting for us has made us more aware of the advantages of it for the future. The positive impact on traffic and pollution is immense. Although we all look forward to having personal contact with each other again, we hope that innovation and thinking more flexibly will be the silver lining to this crisis.
Of course, for our friends and colleagues in the construction sector, we know that telecommuting is not an option, and we are aware of what an impact this is having on them. We want to do everything in our power to help support those in our industry that are suffering from the economic fallout of this crisis.
We have continued to meet our project deadlines, see and speak with our clients digitally, and have welcomed new clients over the past few weeks. Our clients, who we greatly appreciate, are all eager for us to continue working full force, so we can at least assure you that we will have a lot of work for the construction sector to do when this is over.
The heart and strength of the Luxembourg economy is its people, and we have every reason to believe that when this virus is brought under control through innovation, science and technology, it will come back better than ever.
