The Nest Wins the BHP Public Favorite Award!

Congratulations to our clients, Codur for winning the RTL Public Favorite Award!

Céline Depiesse and Claudine Wattier of Codur happily accept the RTL Public Favorite Award for Residential Development on stage at the 2020 OAI Bauhärepräis award ceremony at the Philharmonie in Luxembourg. And no, Sahar has not discovered the fountain of youth, that is her daughter, Noura proudly standing in for her to accept the award since Sahar had been injured and could not attend. 

Céline describes this public favorite award as being precious to Codur “because we try every day to put our clients and future inhabitants of our residences at the center of our attention and decisions…Thank you for giving us this boost of energy that makes us want to pursue our dreams: Those that are already being realized in our projects and those we have on the horizon of 2030.”

The Nest is a tranquil, ecological multi-family residence placed at the edge of the forest in Neihaischen. The concrete shell wrapped in wood fiber insulation keeps it quiet in the vicinity of the airport. Sahar devised different methods of forming the concrete so that varying textures and color tones would create a natural atmosphere. The ceilings are not wood, but the wood gave up it’s patterns and natural oils to the concrete as it was cast.
